About

About Sarah Caputo

I believe genuine connection forms the foundation of effective therapy. My style is warm and empathic, incorporating humor and levity, while also being direct when we need to address challenging material. Together we create a safe space where you can explore difficult topics: trauma, shame, identity confusion, sex and intimacy, relationship patterns and family dynamics, and experiences of marginalization.

I am experienced in helping clients learn to work with intense feelings rather than be overwhelmed by them. In our work together, I aim to help you move towards navigating your unique circumstances with more agency, confidence, compassion, and ease.

Approach

How we'll work together

We'll spend our first sessions getting acquainted, before digging deep into what you want to explore. We'll prioritize your trust and safety the whole way and collaborate to get to your desired destination.

I work primarily in person but offer telehealth sessions as well, ensuring that you can access support in whatever way feels most comfortable and accessible to you.
