About

About Sarah Caputo

I believe genuine connection forms the foundation of effective therapy. My style is warm, empathic, and direct. I incorporate humor and levity, and I'll ensure we focus to address challenging material. Together we create a safe space where you can explore difficult topics: trauma, shame, identity questions, sex and intimacy, relationship patterns and family dynamics, and experiences of feeling different or marginalized. I am experienced in helping clients learn to work with intense feelings rather than be overwhelmed by them.

I specialize in helping people navigate patterns in relationships, work with intense emotions and trauma, and explore questions about identity, sex, and intimacy. While I'm trained in LGBTQ+ affirming care, I welcome all clients. I also have a background in tech and understand those unique pressures. If any of this resonates, I'd be glad to connect.

Approach

How we'll work together

We'll spend our first sessions getting acquainted, before digging deep into what you want to explore. We'll prioritize your trust and safety the whole way and collaborate to get to your desired destination.

I work primarily in person but offer telehealth sessions as well, ensuring that you can access support in whatever way feels most comfortable and accessible to you.

Insurance & Rates

My fee is $190 per session, but I also offer a limited number of sliding scale slots for clients who need reduced fees. I encourage you to reach out if you may be eligible.

I am an out-of-network provider and do not work directly with insurance companies. However, if you have out-of-network mental health benefits, I can provide you with a superbill (detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Please reach out if you'd like more information about OON reimbursement and questions you should ask your insurance to find out if you are eligible.
